Thermal Water at BLEIB BERG

Warm and comforting. Pleasant and invigorating on the skin. The true thermal water of our retreat is a gentle source of wellbeing. But when does spring water become thermal water? The term is defined by temperature: once the water reaches at least 20 degrees Celsius at its natural emergence, it is classified as thermal water. If this warm spring water provides scientifically recognised therapeutic benefits even in small amounts, it is considered healing water.

But where does the healing water in our thermal retreat actually come from?

A Powerful Element

It is said to originate from an underground lake. On its way through layers of rock — dolomite, schist and limestone — the water absorbs trace elements that give it its restorative qualities. Our thermal water contains calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, sulphate, hydrogen carbonate and silicic acid. These natural elements are used at the BLEIB BERG F.X. Mayr Retreat for the wellbeing of our guests.

People with rheumatic conditions, osteoarthritis, vegetative or functional disorders of the cardiovascular or nervous system often find relief in our thermal water. It also supports recovery after injuries or surgery.
During the rest phases of our F.X. Mayr BASIC, F.X. Mayr PLUS and F.X. Mayr STRESS MANAGEMENT programs, guests are invited to enrich their BLEIB BERG experience with a weightless bath in this healing water.

Anytime: Immerse Yourself in the Thermal Water of the Retreat

Especially in the colder months, thermal water invites you to slow down and unwind. The experience becomes even more special when the warm healing water can be enjoyed outdoors.

At the BLEIB BERG F.X. Mayr Retreat, guests can swim outside even in winter — in the outdoor pool filled with thermal water from the healing spring of Bad Bleiberg.
