Cryo Therapy at BLEIB BERG
Health Through Cold Exposure
Cryo Treatments at BLEIB BERG
Cryo therapy provides a brief yet powerful stimulus. For three minutes, the body is exposed to targeted cold at minus 110 degrees Celsius. This controlled exposure is not only well tolerated – it can be deeply beneficial.
The cold stimulus may support the immune system, help reduce pain and inflammation, improve skin appearance, and positively influence mood. At BLEIB BERG F.X. Mayr Retreat, cryo therapy in Austria is offered within a medically guided setting, allowing you to experience its effects safely and effectively.
Cryo Therapy in Austria
Cryo Therapy Process
From entering the antechamber to the completion of the cryo session, the controlled cold exposure is supervised by our trained team. During cryo therapy, you wear swimwear or close-fitting underwear, ear protection, gloves, thick socks, and shoes. A face mask protects your airways from the dry, cold air throughout the treatment.
Thanks to the glass front of the cryo chamber at our wellness and health retreat, you remain in constant visual contact with our therapists at all times – without any feeling of confinement. The session can be ended independently at any moment, as both doors can be opened from the inside and outside during the treatment.

Three Defining Minutes in the Cryo Chamber
How Cryo Therapy Feels
As you step into the cryo chamber, you immediately notice the cool, dry air settling gently on your skin. Minus 110 degrees Celsius sounds intense, and the first moments require a degree of inner focus. Yet within seconds, the initial tingling gives way to a surprising sense of clarity and alertness.
With each breath, the mind feels lighter, thoughts become calm. Throughout the session, you remain in constant visual contact with our trained team, creating a feeling of safety and ease.
After three minutes, many guests leave the chamber with an unexpected sense of lightness and well-being that often carries through the rest of the day. Beyond the personal experience, cryo therapy offers medically recognised benefits: it supports regeneration and contributes noticeably to overall well-being.

The Potential of Cryo Therapy
Cryo therapy opens up new possibilities in medicine, sports, and aesthetic care. This potential is also being applied in Austria. The health benefits of targeted cold exposure are not a new discovery – strengthening the immune system has long been one of its known effects.
What is new is the technology. Modern cryo systems make whole-body applications controllable, safe, and effective. This allows cold exposure to be used in a precise and medically guided way, unlocking its regenerative potential with clarity and consistency.
Areas of Application
The Versatility of Cryo Therapy
Whole-body cryo therapy is considered one of the most versatile applications within modern therapeutic concepts. Its targeted cold stimulus can support the body on multiple levels, including:
– Improved circulation
– Strengthening of connective tissue
– Shortened recovery time after physical exertion
– Support in cases of fatigue and exhaustion
– Assistance with mental strain and sleep disturbances
– Support during weight management
– Regulation of cholesterol levels
Cryo therapy is used successfully for both physical and mental regeneration. Beyond this, it is applied worldwide – including in Austria – as a supportive element in pain management, particularly for conditions such as rheumatism and osteoarthritis.
